According to a  Consumer Reports survey released Thursday, “as of Dec. 6, 40 percent of shoppers said they had yet to begin their holiday gift buying and only 12 percent of consumers have finished their holiday shopping, and nearly one-third don’t anticipate finishing until Dec. 23 or later”, according to the report.

So what does this mean for you? There are still opportunities to capitalize on holiday sales, and for most church stores and coffee bars this weekend will be the last major opportunity that you will have to capture your congregation. Are you ready for it?

  • Do you have key stock in and featured?
  • Are your slow moving items discounted and out where they can be seen and purchased?
  • Is your store neat and clean?
  • Are you staffed to handle the traffic that will be coming in?
  • Are your staff and volunteers ready to serve and go the extra-mile?

I encourage you to review some of the information we have posted for the holidays for ideas and effort to make this weekend your best push yet.
